"Friendly and professional. It was the second time I used this service and both times I had issues with missing items. For this particular move: - the crew kept walking on my white $800 rug with dirty shoes despite my repeated requests to stop doing so - the crew kept putting heavy and or wet items on marble furniture - a tree that was packed never made it to its destination. I saw it being packed in a wardrobe box. My cleaner and concierge both confirmed it wasn’t left behind. Yet the company insisted (1) I gave explicit consent to leave it behind which wasn’t true and (2) it wasn’t put in a wardrobe box - a glass box got destroyed during the move After the initial inventory, the first thing I was told is I’ll be expected to tip generously. Given that my rug got destroyed I didn’t tip generously, the individual who gathered the tip made it an uncomfortable counting and re-counting the cash in front of me, making it truly awkward. When I reached out to the company about my missing tree and damaged rug, they shifted the blame onto me: (1) I imagined the tree being packed in a wardrobe box (I didn’t), I should have done a walk-through (I did and the tree wasn’t left behind), I should have alerted them faster (I alerted them once I unpacked) (2) my rug was already darkened and stained and I was making it up (I wasn’t, I told the crew repeatedly to stop damaging the rug the day of and I sent before/after pictures). After a series of unpleasant emails — the company refunded me to cover the tips (undeserved), the rug cleaning and a partial amount of the value of the missing tree. As I told the company, no one is perfect. If they simply took accountability from the get go for ignoring my requests to take better care of my items and acknowledged the facts (a tree was packed and never made it home), that would have been a million times better than arguing for alternative facts. By insisting I gave consent to leave one of my most beloved item behind (I didn’t), that two trees were left behind (only the one I gave consent was, the other wasn’t as several people who were in the apartment after the move have attested) and that my rug was pre-damaged instead of recognizing they caused the damage (it wasn’t) turned the whole experience into a debate over facts which quite frankly felt like being gaslighted. In short — the crew seemed pretty good and competent. I would just be extra-insisting if you have items that require special care. I kept asking politely but maybe a more demanding tone was warranted. As for the management, my advice would be to fact-check and take accountability in lieu of blame-shifting and resorting to alternative facts. That’s never a good look. I do appreciate they made the effort to attempt to make it right in the end. Ideally they would have proactively apologized and made an offer instead of argue for a day and reluctantly agree. But I’ll give them credit, in the end they did something."

"Blue Moving did a fantastic job with our move. We moved from Jersey to Michigan, so there were a lot of moving parts involved, but they were very understanding and accommodating to our needs. Additionally, we weren’t able to be there when they moved our stuff into our home, but they were able to follow a floor plan we gave them and also kept in good communication when they had questions. Overall, everything went off without a hitch and I couldn’t be happier about it."
