"Arrived on time for pickup & did a good job, but was unhappy with everything after that. Tried to tell me I had to be 1,000 mike south to accept delivery the day after pickup (not in the 2-14 day window after the available date I declared). Then no communication for 12 days. Then on a Thursday night I got a message that it was en route and would be there either Thursday night or Friday- but they didn’t know which. So I sat around a vacant house. Then the driver called and said he would be there by 4 on Saturday. He never showed, and no one answered phones or emails Saturday night or all day Sunday. Then Monday, I get a call saying the truck with my stuff had been impounded but he Swore he would be there by 4 on Monday, no matter what. That did not happen. Monday at 10 pm I get a text saying they’ll be there the next morning, and they finally did show on Tuesday. Except many of my boxes had been opened and searched— by law enforcement because it turns out the driver skipped a weigh/agricultural station. Then when they finally arrived they tried to get me to sign a new bill of lading adding on charges for storage for extra days! Never did credit back the inventory items I didn’t make them haul, either. So: bad communication, missed appointments, SIX DAYS wasted just sitting at a vacant house waiting, and boxes that arrived rifled through."

"They showed up when they said they would and made the trip from DC to NYC in record time. They were cheap. That's the good. Here's the bad: Despite being very clear on the online form that I lived up one flight of stairs, they added an unknown surcharge for the stairs. Also for having to carry the boxes more than 200 feet -- this after parking in front of the building, which is definitely less than 200 feet. The guy could not tell me the cost of these items and threatened to drive off with my stuff if I didn't sign. I have no idea what I'll be charged. Also: I had two large bookcases. I know they fit in the elevator-- tight, but they fit -- because I moved them out two years ago. But these guys simply looked at the bookcases, looked at the stairs and elevator, and refused to even try. They said they could disassemble them for $90 each. Otherwise, they'd leave them in the lobby. I disassembled them myself, and couldn't help but do some damage to them in the process, even though disassembly wasn't necessary to get them to fit into the elevator. Then they moved the pieces ten feet to the elevator and another ten feet into my apartment. Reassembling them will be much harder than the disassembly -- that's my job for the day. One guy did all the work and the other sat in the truck, since it was parked in front of a plug and he was concerned about getting a ticket. I feel bad for giving the guy who did all the work such a bad rating. He was fine. But the guy in charge needs to work on his customer service skills. I've moved a lot and moving is always a hassle. In the past I rented a U-Haul, hired a few helpers, and did it myself. After this experience, I may go back to that. Or not go with the low bid."

"Phone service was unorganized. At two different times I had a missed call from the office with no message. When I returned the call trying to figure out what it was about no one knew why I was called and chalked it up to a mistake. The actual movers were wonderful!! Can't thank them enough. There was a two man team and they were on time and made quick work of all the items I had. I paid extra for the bed to be taken apart and reassembled. I have to say-- it's better put together now than I had it originally. Their hourly rate is cheaper than the per item price. Would've saved a couple hundred had I gone with them directly. Next time!"
