"The movers that picked up versus the driver that delivered were night and day. The pick up went smoothly and the guys showed up on time and were fast, friendly, and efficient. The driver that delivered however was totally unprofessional. First, he calls 24 hours before delivery and doesn't give me ample notice. Then, he puts me through hell claiming that he needs $1 per square foot to transfer to a smaller shuttle since his 53' semi won't fit in the neighborhood. Then he says he is going to charge me $75 for every 7 steps on the staircase because 7 steps equals a flight... what in the world?! And he needs all of this to be decided within the next couple hours and it has to be cash. Really scammy vibes. After I tell him that Unpakt has assured that all these charges are included, he gets defensive and says "I'm not going to argue with you any more but I need my money" I told him to call his manager and afterward he finds out he was in the wrong. But even after all that, when he shows up on delivery day, he starts counting his steps from where he parks and then says "this is an extra flight of stairs that's not included with what you paid so I'm going to need cash" I told him again, "no this is included. Call your manager again". after he calls, they tell him it's included and he has a hissy fit. He was unpleasant the entire time up until the end where he wants a tip. Worst service ever. His name was Robert by the way. Thank goodness for Unpakt that made sure I was not charged and their contract made sure it was included. Tip for everyone to make sure all stairs and shuttle service is included!"
