"All in all this was an awful experience. I moved from Virginia to New York; the day that the movers came to pick up my furniture/boxes went relatively smooth even though they were two hours late. However, the day that they were supposed to drop off my furniture in New York my landlord gave me a window of time that I must move in between 9 AM and 5 PM. My movers said they would aim to be there before 12 PM, but they called around 6 PM to tell me they went to the wrong address. They did not show up until close to 7 PM. My landlord was incredibly unhappy with me and I had to pay his maintenance worker $200 out-of-pocket for his overtime in order to supervise the move. When my movers did get there, they expected me to help them carry everything up to the apartment. I have asthma and they made a comment about being lazy/needing a break while I was trying to catch my breath. One of the movers asked for my number and made multiple comments on my physical appearance/body even after I turned down his first two advances. They also asked my mother (who has cystic fibrosis) why she wasn’t helping move furniture/boxes up the stairs and made her feel like a hinderance. Overall, I would not recommend this moving service."

"I was surprised the same day of the move with a request for an additional $850 because Gabriel Arbelaez, mover coordinator from Movers on Duty considered that the distance from my apartment to where the truck was parked was too much and that it will be more time consuming. Mr Arbelaez asked me to pay additional $850 if I want the move to be done and get to destination as we have agreed, the same day. This surprise request was very annoying. This amount which was charged and included in my Unpakt bill should be reinbursed. The truck was parked in the parking garage area in the building."

"This is my second interstate move, and the first one was far superior. First if all, not I've person who was at the house we were leaving in VA was there in SC. Not even the driver. One of the guys in SC asked if he could use his vape pen. I said okay, and I assumed it was weed (which it was), which honestly didn't bother me. I know people who use it from time to time, and they're perfectly able to function normally. What did bother me was that he was far from the only one; I think the entire crew was completely baked by the time they left. I haven't started going through boxes yet, but I will be stunned if there aren't broken items. At least one box was crushed in transport. They didn't put my mirror on my dresser. It's there, but it wasn't attached. I have no idea where the screws are. They put the master bed together badly. I tried to get up and nearly tipped over. My husband had to take the bed apart to fix the problem. It appears that pegs or rods of some sort should have gone into homes in the slats and frame. I don't know where those are, either. They left items here. One of the movers had to come back and get his drill. There are scrapes and gouges in my freshly-refinished floor. A door facing was scratched up and will need to be repainted. I've taken pictures of the damage, and I'll continue to do so as I unpack boxes and move things around, as I expect to find more damage. I'm happy to send all of those pictures to you. I look forward to hearing from Movers on Duty."

"Movers on Duty did an excellent job with my move! They were on time and called me 45 min ahead of time to let me know they were close. They were very professional and good about covid procedures. They went out of there way to make sure they were getting everything (I wasn’t having them move all of my things) and they worked extra hard to get my stuff to fit into a smaller-than-expected storage unit. I will definitely be using them for future moves!"

"Both mover were professional and got on time to my apartment. However, they weren’t careful moving some of my furniture, didn’t cover my furniture with sheets and it got stained. Unfortunately their truck broke on their way to the second place and moving got delayed. On their way back they were helpful and brought all the boxes to the corresponding rooms."
