"I’m disappointed with my experience with these movers. I moved about 100 miles from my previous house, and while the loading phase went smoothly, it went downhill fast. First, despite the distance, the movers arrived nearly 2 hours after I did. They left before me, but I tried to be compassionate and aware of how long of a day it was shaping up to be. We clearly labeled our boxes and gave the movers a tour of the new home so they can put things where they belong. This worked for about 30 seconds into unloading, and then they simply dumped everything into the front room for my partner and I to sort. Lastly, they asked me to pay more than what I paid via Unpakt, phrasing it as “back pay” (my inventory actually turned out to be less than my quote). The movers also requested me to “provide a nice” tip at least 5 times. After the subpar unloading, I have them what I felt was fair for the level of service and they almost shamed me for it? I wouldn’t have tipped at all if I knew how that was going to be received. I chose this company because they were economical. I wouldn’t do that again."
