2021 Unpakt College Scholarship

These sweepstakes are open to all legal residents of the United States, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and who are current college students or will have graduated an institution for higher education no more than one year prior to contest start date. To enter, complete going to college scholarship form located at https://www.unpakt.com/scholarship/. Entries must be complete with all required information and include a written portion of no more than 500 words. Entries must adhere to requirements posted in these Eligibility Requirements listed on the contest page located at https://www.unpakt.com/scholarship/. Entries will be accepted beginning February 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021. A grand prize winner and two additional runners up will be chosen by committee review during the period from January 1, 2022 and January 7, 2022. Winners will be announced by January 10, 2022. Prizes will be awarded by January 15, 2022. Entries which are late, lost, stolen, mutilated, tampered with, illegible, incomplete, mechanically reproduced, inaccurate, postage due, forged, irregular in any way or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules will be disqualified. All entries become the property of Unpakt® and will not be acknowledged or returned. Odds of winning depend on number of entries received.

Eligibility:

Any individual(s), including but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors, and interns, who have, within the past twelve months, performed services for Unpakt®, any organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the contest or sweepstakes or supplying the prize, and their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, and immediate family and household members of such individuals, are not eligible to receive this offer. “Immediate family members” shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. “Household members” shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year.

Prize:

Unpakt® will award one (1) grand prize of $1,000.00, a first runner up prize of $500.00 and a second runner up prize of $100.00. Winner is not entitled to exchange or transfer prizes or to obtain other substitutes, but Unpakt® in its sole discretion may substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Unclaimed prizes may not be awarded. No prize substitutions or cash equivalent of prize is permitted except at Unpakt®’s sole discretion, and then only for a prize of equal or greater value.

Unpakt® will require winner to verify enrollment with the listed college or university before awarding prize. Winner will be notified via email and/or telephone within 14 days of announcement. If winner is non-responsive or ineligible, Unpakt® may award the relevant prize to the subsequent winning entrant.

Unpakt® is not responsible for cancellation or preemption of event or for other circumstances that make it impractical or impossible to fulfill any element of the prize.

Release:

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of Unpakt® and the sweepstakes administrator, which shall be final in all respects. By participating in this sweepstakes and/or accepting any prize that they may win, entrants agree to release Unpakt, LLC. (“Unpakt®”), its parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers, and each of its respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of its respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in a contest or sweepstakes and/or acceptance or use of the prize.

Entrants authorize the Released Parties to use their name, voice, likeness, biographical data, city and state of residence and entry materials in programming or promotional material, in any media now known or hereafter created or conceived, worldwide in perpetuity, or on a winner’s list, if applicable, without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Unpakt® is not obligated to use any of the above mentioned information or materials, but may do so and may edit such information or materials, at Unpakt®’s sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation.

By submitting entry materials, entrants certify that such materials are original and created by entrant, that entrants have the necessary rights, permission and authority to submit such materials, and, if applicable, that entrants maintain a valid copyright in the materials. Entrants acknowledge that such materials may be included and/or discussed in a broadcast, that such discussion may include statements or opinions by the broadcast talent or others about the entrants, the entrants’ appearances and/or the materials, and that those statements and opinions may be considered surprising, humiliating, embarrassing, derogatory, defamatory or otherwise offensive or injurious to them, Unpakt® ’s employees, its studio or at-home audience and/or other third parties. Entrants release the Released Parties from any actions, claims, injury, loss or damage allegedly caused, directly or indirectly, by any such statements or opinions made during a broadcast.

All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Winners may be required to complete a W-9 for tax purposes.

Unpakt® reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the contest in the event of tampering or other circumstances, including but not limited to acts of God or civil disturbance that render it impractical or impossible to complete or fulfill the contest or sweepstakes as originally planned.
